I remember when I first started my business - feeling timid and shy about what I offer because it was new.

I was new. And because I wasn’t the first to market in my industry I felt like my offer didn’t fully measure up. 

I knew what I offered got my members results, but I was shy about making it fully known to the world out of fear of rejection.

Here’s what I learned: 

Your success doesn’t lie in how many brands have already done what you’re trying to do or accomplish. 

You’re not late.

Not everyone in your industry might agree with your signature way of getting people results, and that’s okay.

When you talk about your systems, frameworks or new products, not everyone will cheer you on.

What matters most is the outcome and the success of those who paid you. 

So when you create new methods, or introduce new offers into the online space, don’t be shy about it.

Crush those limiting beliefs that tell you, “that’s not how the industry does it,” “you’re too late to launch this,” or “people typically do it this or that way.”

Be confident in what you offer and speak with authority on it. This is the confidence you need to build a follow-worthy brand.🤨

“All wrong” is a stretch, but it certainly felt like it when all my hard work from creating content - writing scripts, finding audio, spending hours in front of the ring light, and editing videos amounted to, well…nothing.

I’m putting all this time and energy into building a “hub” of content, that looks great theoretically, but in reality it sacrificed -

☝🏽My time…
✌🏽and my mental health especially when there was a social media update. 

This idea of having a “content hub” of general information and advice in the form of posts and video is what’s burning a lot of entrepreneurs out.

All this hub does is build an exhausting amount of demand for more and more of your content, rather than building the right kind of demand for more of your free and paid offers.

This round and round content creation cycle is never-ending. 

And if you continue to create content that way, you’ll always feel like you’re behind, trying to keep up, instead of LEAD. 🤨

3 signs you may lack discipline:

➕ You feel like switching your strategy before full implementation is the solution to the problem.

Instead of feeling like you have to do EVERYTHING, like keep up with every trend while waiting to be “discovered,” be strategic with your marketing efforts.

Successful entrepreneurs aren’t platform obsessed, examining their vanity metrics daily. Instead they think about the overall content strategy - CROSS PLATFORM.

As an entrepreneur, you should always work to gain the trust of your audience.

If you want to be remembered, you need to show up. This is the first step. They need to see you, your brand message and your image often. Be present and take a real, active interest in your followers.

With so much regurgitated content on social, your content should be as original as possible. Sure, you can follow trends, but think about what hasn’t been done yet - what YOU haven’t done yet. Stretch that creative muscle and take time to come up with something different.

🤲🏽 Asserting your beliefs.

What will set your content apart? Content that stands for something. Instead of repeating what others believe, or have said, have an account that regularly affirms what YOU believe. This is how you become magnetic and follow-worthy.

🤲🏽 Sharing behind the scenes.

This is the CONTEXT that your CONTENT is missing. Don’t just tell me what your day was like, how you make your products, or what your client experience is - SHOW ME. Lift the vail and share the inner workings of your business to build trust.

🤲🏽 Showing vulnerability. 

This can be tough, even a little embarrassing. But opening up and being transparent about your experiences, builds connection. If you have a genuine experience that your dream client can relate to, share it! This is what’s missing from social media; and your story can be the thing that causes someone to want to work with YOU.

There’s a huge difference in strategy from being a professional content creator or influencer…

And being an entrepreneur.

The content strategies between the two are drastically different.

For one, influencers can create content about many things, as the goal is to attract the MOST people to acquire a variety of different brand sponsorships - and have a robust media kit. 

An entrepreneur with a product or service to sell, that solves a specific problem, must work to attract people who are the BEST fit for their offers.

The goal for you isn’t to attract the most people. The goal for you is to attract the RIGHT people.

So stop obsessing about your follower count.

It’s okay. You don’t need to be the most popular. You need patience, time and consistency in your brand message.

Having 50k, 100k, or even a million followers doesn’t guarantee predictable revenue and it isn’t the key to having a thriving, profitable business.

Focus your content on YOUR dream clients and those you’re called to serve. Put your best brand forward for them! Got it?

To do this you must, decide what you’re most passionate about AND research the market value of that niche. Are there problems to solve within that niche that people are willing to pay for? If so, you’re on the right track.

✅ Planned and perfected your content?

Stop posting on the fly! Take time to really brainstorm new ideas and topics that bring value to this niched market. Spend time perfecting your lighting for video, making better graphics, and writing captivating copy. Speed this process up with my signature content planner and digital content membership! Hiding behind quote graphics won’t get you very far on social media. Unveil the curtain and show YOUR unique process, putting your personality on display. No matter how boring or uneventful you think your life is, trust me, giving value and solving problems will always resonate with prospects.

I’m pretty sure you have a million other important things to do in your business. Save yourself time and stress by creating multiple pieces of content in advance instead of crafting on the fly. Dedicate 2-4 hours, once a month to actually create content from your planner. Then schedule or manually post as needed! In doing so, you’ll find that your content is more cohesive, on brand, and effortless.

Don’t get me wrong, I love consuming content - maybe even a little more than producing it.

One helpful thing I do is put a time limit on how long I’ll consume it. 30 mins? 1 hour? 2 hours? 😬

It’ll never feel like “enough” time, but if you want growth this year, this is about realizing the value of your time. And each moment you’re OVER-engulfed in someone one else’s posts, are moments GONE, that could be spent strengthening your own brand, figuring out what content aligns with you, and simply having fun using the platform.
